About Us
We are a Christ-Centered Residential Recovery Program in Morgan County, Alabama.
LifeSource is more than a halfway house. It is a place where men and women, many coming out of the criminal justice system and years of addiction, find the support, structure, and spiritual foundation they need to start over.
Founded on the belief that every person deserves a second chance, our residential program walks alongside each individual through biblical counseling, life skills training, vocational development, and genuine Christian fellowship.
We have seen God do extraordinary things in the lives of people the world had given up on. That is why we exist.
Our Mission
LifeSource serves the most under-served segment of our society — those in the criminal justice system who struggle with addiction.
For many of the men and women who come to us, the cycle has been the same for years: addiction, arrest, incarceration, release, relapse. Over and over. The world tells them they’re beyond help. The system puts them back on the street with no support, no structure, and no hope.
We exist to break that cycle.
At LifeSource, we believe that no one is too far gone for the grace of God. We believe that through the love of Jesus Christ, through genuine community, through patient and persistent discipleship, lives can be completely transformed.
We’ve seen it happen. Again and again. We’ve watched people walk through our doors broken, empty, and hopeless — and leave as new creations. That’s not our work. That’s God’s work. We simply have the privilege of being a part of it.
“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
Isaiah 61:1
What We Believe
Created in the image of God, every human being — regardless of their past, their record, or their addiction — has inherent worth and deserves to be treated with dignity and love.
We believe the Gospel is the power of God for salvation. Recovery programs, therapy, and skills training are all important, but lasting transformation comes through a personal relationship with Christ.
Addiction thrives in isolation. Recovery happens in community. At LifeSource, residents don’t just receive services — they become part of a family that walks with them through the hardest and most beautiful days of their lives.
A criminal record, a history of addiction, a broken family — none of these things define a person’s future. In Christ, the old has gone and the new has come. We exist to help people step into that truth.

Many programs treat addiction as an isolated problem. At LifeSource, we see it as a spiritual crisis that requires a spiritual solution. That’s why Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do.
Our staff don’t just work here — they live this mission. Many have walked the same road our residents are walking now. They understand the struggle, the shame, and the hope that comes when God gets ahold of a broken life.
This isn’t a program you go through. It’s a community you become part of.
At LifeSource, residents don’t just attend classes and check boxes. They build real friendships, compete on softball teams, celebrate milestones together, and learn what it means to have fun sober.
Community is one of our four pillars for a reason. Addiction thrives in isolation. Recovery happens in relationship — with God and with each other.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
